The Stock Market.

Messrs Gorton and Son report as fol« lows under date February 24 :—We are glad to be able to report a- decided improvement in prices of sheep, and a very spirited sale, as our sheep fair at Feilding yesterday unrbistakeably proved. We yarded over 7000 sheep, and sold considerably over 6000, chiefly under the ham* mer, and at prices in nearly every case in excess of vendors' reserves. The class of 6heep yarded was good, and good ewes will find a ready market. Mr D. Pownes* 2 tooth Lincoln ewes were justly much admired, and after spirited bidding were knocked down to Mr G. Pemberton at 12« 7d, and his 4 -tooth to fnll-inouth ewes brought from 9s 6d to 10s Id. The demand for wethers, however, was not so great. Mr A Levett's excellent pen of wethers should have sold; this is bard to understand, because unquestionably they are a class of stock which will shortly be in good demand. Oar sale at Hunterville was a fairly good one throughout ; but at Campbelltown, where there were Jarge entries, it was dull for cattle but brisk tor sheep.
