Cricket News.
Several members of the local Cricket Club indulged in some net practice yesterday afternoon. To-morrow evening members aro requested to muster at the ground to prepare a pitch for the match with the Palmerston Union Club on Saturday. The match with the Unions will start punctually at 12.30. The following team will play for Colyton in the cup match against Murton, to be played in Halcouibe on Saturday next: J. Maxted, G. and C. Millen, C. and T. Selby, A. Pringle, D. Thomas, J., W. and D, Entwisle, J. Simpson. Emergency, W. Power. [PEH PBEBS ASSOCIATION.] Weixinoton, February 14. In connection with the cricket match, North Island v. New South Wales, the proposal is that five of the team be selected from Wellington and the remainder from other parts of the island. Communications are passing between the selection committee and Kallendar, Neill, Fowke, and Mills, of Auckland ; Wolsteuholme, Bruce, and Lusk, of Napier ; McDonnagh, of Stratford ; and Mills, of Hawera. When replies are to hand tiie team will be chosen.
