Hawera, Tnis Day. There is beautiful weather, and a large attendance. Waizuate Handicap — St Laura, 7st 71b, 1 ; Freelance, 7st 21b, 2 ; Swordbelt, bst 31b, 3. Lottie, Ua, and Variety also started. Won all the way. Time, linin 33sec. Dividend, £-i 6s. Hurdles- Courauto, 12st81b, 1 ; Vasco, 9st 13lb, 2. Jacob was scratched. Vasco fell at the second hurdle, aud was taken back to the paddock. Couranto baulked at the next jump, and Vasco, re-mounted, joined in the race. Hope waited for Vasco, and then got over, winning easily. Dividend, £1 18s. Hack Hurdles— Cingalee, lOst 71b, 1 ; Tramore, lOst, 2; Puuiau, lOst 111 b, 3. Won by half a length.
