Sporting News.

At the Urenui (New Plymouth) races last week, four horses fell in an event, and two of the riders were injured. One. v Maori named Napoleon, was severely injured in the back, and is stated to be lying in a precarious condition. Among the names of these horseß for which second acceptances have been paid for the Egmont Sires Hack Produce :' Stakes, of 1895, we notice Messrs Baker dud C'o.'s Fair Play and Mr D. Plingle's Mahoe. There are 59 acceptors.
