Messrs Lowes and lorus, Masterton, report : Our usual fortnightly stock sale was held on Thursday, the 3'ards being fairly well filled with both sheep and cattle. The former was exceeding flat, prices being the lowest for many years, and it was with great difficulty the owes were cleared. Cattle sold well, prices being fully main tamed. Mutton ewes sold at 7s 3d ; store wethers, 4 tooth, 7a to 7a 6d ; 2- tooth do, 68 to 7s ; culled ewes, 2s to 7s ; the bulk averaging only is ; woolly lambs, oa to 5s 8d ; shorn do, 2s to 3s 3d ; 2. tooth ewes, Gs to 7s 6d , fat bullocks, £7 ; fat steers, 2J years old, £5 loa ; store steors, £4 15s ; 2 -year do, £3 15s ; 18 -months, mixed, a line of 90 in the pen. £2 Ids ; ewes from 55s to £4 ; mixed yearlings and 18-months, £3 11s; harness horses, from £5 109 to £8 5s ; hacks from £5 to £8 ; brake and harness, £16 ; single buggy and harness, £21 ; pigs, weaners, 9s to 10s ; slips, 20d to 255.
