The Waitemata Election Petition.

* IPER PRESS ASSOCIATION/. Auckland, February 7 In the case of Palmer v. Monk, election petition, about fifteen witnesses were examined to-day, all concerning events on election day at Kuiueu. The evidence tended to show that drink was freely dispensed, and that both Monk and Palmer's supporters freely partook. A good deal of the evidence was comparatively unimportant, and principally of the same character, relating to beer.
