The Stock Market.
Messrs Budge and Good report : — At all our sales lately we have found stock of all classes dull of sale, with the exception of young good quality steers, for which there is a ready sale at reduced prices. All classes of sheep bring very low prices. We quote : — At Kapouga, on 2Gth January, 2-year old steers, £3 15s ; 18 -month steers, £2 17s Cd to £3 ; yearling steers, £2 13s; store cows, £3 to £8 Gs ; 18-months' heifers, £2 13s ; yearling heifers, £2 7s. At Manaia, on 30th January, steers, £2 18s to £3 4s ; 12 to 18 month steers, £2 15s ; store cows, £3 5s ; fat cows, JL'4 ; dairy heifers, £ i Gs. Sheep — Woolly lambs, 4s 9d to 5s 2d. At Otakeho, on the 2nd inst., there was a very large entry of stock, all available yard room being taken up. Wo quote : — Steers, 2-year-old, £3 17s ; yearling steers, £2 9s 6.1 to £2 13s 6d ; store cows, £3 to £3 ss; forward cows, £3 12s; 2-year-old lieif ers, £2 18s to £3 3s ; 18 month' heifers, £2 10s to £2 15s ; yearling heifers, £2 8a 6d ; weanera, 33s to 40s ; calves, 258 ; fat bullocks, £5 14s to to £5 los; fat cows, £4 to £4 10s. Sheep. — Two-tooth, 6s 4d.
