[I'EB FBEBS ASSOCIATION.] Auckland, ThfsDav, The body of an infant, not identified, was found in the harbor. A married woman, the wife of Wm. Grey, bus driver, mixed the heads of forty matches in water and drank the solution. The poison was removed by a stomach pump and the woman is expected to recover. She had been suffering an internal complaint. Wellington, This Day. The girl Marion Allen, who took a quantity of spirits of salt on Saturday last, is reported to be considerably better. Blenheim, February 5. An elderly man named W. Jones died somewhat suddenly to-day. Since Saturday be had complained of severe pains in the chest, but it was not until this afternoon that be had to leave oS work on the farm where he was employed. He went to hi* whare, and when they went to call him for tea he was found quite dead.
