Tho C'olyton aud Carnarvon Clubs met on the latter \s ground on Saturday last when the Cup match resulted in a win for the latter by eight runs. As the Cup match between Feilding and Sandon did not eventuate on Saturday, owing to the latter club being unable to muster a team , those who had turned up on the local ground determined to have cricket of some sort, so sides were picked by Messrs Hill and Broughton, and a scratch match played. The game was a very evenly contested one, Mr Hill's side eventualiy winning by 6 runs, the total score being 111, of which the captaic contributed 28, Bartholomew 27, and Carty 17. For his sido Broughton made 33, Baillie 29, and Halcoinbe 14, the total score being 105.
