RICH FIND OF GOLD AT COOLGARDIE.
[Per Press Association.) Adelaide, February 1. The Victorian liquidator of the Federal Bank has applied to the Supreme Court for an order to compel tho local liquidator to remit moneys collected to assist him in paying the dividend of 2s 6d in the £. The local liquidator pointed out that 3s 7£d in the £ has been collected in Melbourne, 7s 9£d in Sydney aod 10a 9d in Adelaide. The Judge characterised tho Melbourne liquidation as extremely unsatisfactory and dilatory, aud dismissed the application with costs. Bbisbane. February 2. Terrible weather is still being experienced in the Gulf of Carpentaria. The barque Wnratali, loading with guano at Rocky Islet for New Zealand, was wrecked. Tho crew are safe. A steam launch and cutter were also wrecked, one being lost. The barque Ganymede, loading with guano, is reported to have come through the hurricane safely. Pkiith, February 2. Bailey's Reward claim at Coolgardie has struck wonderfully rich gold in the hundred foot level, The face grows richer as it is opened up, and is now yellow with gold. Very rich leaders have also been discovered m a number of other claims. ____ _^___^_
