Tour of the Mintster of Lands.
(PEB PBESS ASSOCIATION.) Wellington, January 30. The Hon. Mr McKenzie leaves tomorrow on a tour of central North Island, where he will inspect the road works, upon which considerable sums are being expended, Native lands purchased, and to be purchased, and lauds settled or in course of settlement. He goes to Hunterville, whence he will proceed by the Hunterville -Turaugarere route through the Awarua Block io Moawhango, Inland Patea. From there he will double back along the new road to the back of Ruapehu, where- he will have a look at the country comprising the proposed Tongariro National Park and may possibly asceutl Ruapehu. From there he will return down che new road, via Karioi, through some country now being settled, to Pipiriki on the Wanganui river, and thence back by the river and rail to Wellington. He expects to be absent about a week. On his way to Pipiriki he will inspect the Waiinarino block. __^_^
