♦ (PKK PBBBS ASSOCIATION.) Wellington, January 30 Mr Martin, R.M., fined Wilmore and McMaster .£lO each for betting on the racecourse. He expressed the hope that an appeal would be lodged so that a final decision might be arrived at on a question of so much importance to both jockey clubs and bookmakers. He intimated that if his decision was upheld he would imprison all offenders without the option of a fine, as the Legislature looked upon illegal betting as a very serious breach of the law,
