The prize-firing competition of B and C Classes of the Manchester Rifles was held this morning. Lieut Burla.ce again won in B Class with 63, making three wins in succession, which entitles him to the medal presented by Mrs Hastie for that class. Vol Card won in Class C with 61. The Palmerston Rifles succeeded in making a first-class pass for capitation last year, no less than 55 men qualifying out of a total number of 57 on the roll. The Manchester Rifles also showed a good muster roll for the year. The next parade of the Manchester i Rifles will be held on Thursday, February Bth, when a full muster is expected.
