(PEE PBESS ASSOCIATION.) Sydney, This Day. A difficulty has arisen over the decision of the Customs authorities to enforce the Imperial Passengers Act of 1855 with respect to intercolonial steamers. This will have the effect of greatly reducing the carrying capacity of steamers, and is likely to briug the Customs and Marine Board into conflict, as the latter have been in the habit of licensing steamers and supervising the carriage of passengers, The matter is now under the coneidera* tion of the Government.
