Wanganui Education Board.
The monthly meeting of the Wanganui Board of Education was commenced last night. Present — Messrs Notman (chairman), Sanson, Bridge, Baker, Frj, Carson, Hurley, and the Rev. J. Bobs. Minutes.— The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. Finances, — The Treasurer reported that the General Account was in credit .£144 12s 6d, and the Building Fund £215 17s 2d. Appointments — The Board went into committee to consider appointments, and on resuming reported : — Brunswick —Mrs Howie's resignation accepted. Name to be sent for vacancy. Ratanui. -Resignation of Mr Serjeant, owing to ill-health, accepted. Names to be sent for the vacancy. Relieving Teacher. —Application from Mr H. J. Carter for appointment to a school.— Held over. Feilding — Letter from Committee asking the Board to take action on the headmaster's last report. — Inspector to visit school next week Cheltenham. — Referred to Executive. Porewa.-- Letter from Committee Btating that they are satisfied with the teacher — Resolved, That the Committee be further consulted, and all correspondence be forwarded with regard to notice being given to teacher. Beaconsfield. — E. J. Cunningham's name placed on the list for pupil teacher* ship. At 10 o'clock the Board adjourned to 10 this morning-
