(PER PRESS A88OCIAION.) London, January 28. Tallow is unchanged. The English wheat market shows a weak tone, without quotable change ; the Continental its lifeless, and the American decliuing. Butter is unchanged. Oats, fine quality, 275. Wool is unchanged, and competition slack. A considerable portion of that offered ou Saturday was withdrawn. The total quantity catalogued up to date is 128,800 bales, of which 117,600 bales have been sold. The New Zealand Land Association has received the following cablegram from London: — Tallow— Fine mutton and good beef tallows are respectively worth 28s 6d and 27s 3d per cwt. Frozen meats — Mutton and lamb markets areuuehanged. For Australian beef the market is dull, fore and hindquarters being worth respectively 'd\d and 4d per lb. There arc no stocks of New Zealand beef on hand.
