The American Trio and Novelty Company

« The above company scored another triumph in the Paknerston Theatre Royal on Saturday night, the enthnsiaspi from the rise to the fall of the curtain being unprecedented. Every artist is a bright star in his or her particular line, and the good opinions expressed by the Wellington press of those comprising the company has been fully borne out by the two enjoyable performances given here. The minstrel circle was an appropriate prelude to a clever variety entertainment. The side-splitting burlesque trapese act, by Messrs Crawford and Mooney, caused shrieks of laughter. Miss Ida Holbein, the gifted contralto, met with a splendid reception, hersinging being quite a treat, while Messrs, Charles Naylor and Charles Moore Jii^ their comip duet, were very funny. Missetf Delroy and Lynee, the clever young ar~" tists, were immense in song and dance, the " Rowdy-dowdy boys," being encored no less than three times. Mr Naylor again achieved success in his Typk lean warbling, and had to submit to no less than three recalls. The company appear at the Assembly Rooms on lues, day and Wednesday, where doubtless they will niqet with crowded houses.
