ARTESIAN WATER.
With commendable promptitude the Mayor. Mr Carthew, has called a public meeting of those interested in procuring a 6upplv of artesian water for the Borough. The meeting will be held in the Assembly Rooms on Monday evening next, when we hope to see a large majority of the ratepayers present. We are informed by Mr Carthew that he will produce to the meeting an interesting collection of facts and figures in connection with the project, and at the same time will show its feasibility from the stand point of finance.
