The Cable Service.

News has been received from South Australia that the Port Darwin telegraph line is interrupted between Daly Waters and Katherine. Parties have started to effect repairs. The West Australian lines have also been ' interrupted. The cause is attributed to a hurricane in the north-west. Owing to these breaks, cable communication with Europe has been destroyed. A Press Association telegram, received this morning from Sydney, states that it is not expected that communication will be restored before to-day or to-morrow. The two stations between which the break in the Port Darwin line has occurred are two hundred miles apart.
