Mr E. M. Smith, M.H.R. Sued for Debt.
[pee pbess as-cciatiok j New Plymouth, January 10. A case of public interest occurred in the R.M. Court to-day. Mr Weyergang, a retired merchant, sued Mr E. M. Smith, M.H.R., for £3 10s, the debt having been contracted ovei seventeen years ago. Mr Smith's solicitor pleaded the Statute of Limi tations, and the R.M. dismissed the case without costs.
