The Eginout Farmers' Union (Limited) report : — We had a fair attendance at Stratford ou Friday, the sth iust. We quote :— Steers, 2 to 2i years, .t'3 15s to I' 44k ; 18-month steers, I*2 15s to 13 7s; yearlings and weaners, 17s t>ci to £2 11s 6d ; empty cows and heifers, £3 to i' 3 14s (id. Our fortnightly sale was held in the Glover road yards, Hawera, on Wednesday, the 10th inst. We quote : — Yearling steers, .£2 7s 6d to Ml 9s ; 2-year heifers, empty, I' 3 14s. Sheep, shorn hoggets, mixed, 8s Bd. Mr Chas. Carr, auctioneer, reports his stock sale at Feilding yesterday as follows:— The yards were well filled, between four and five thousand sheep coming forward and a large entry of cattle.
