WANGANUI COLLEGIATE V. FEILDING. A. friendly contest between the above clubs was played on Mr Leth bridge's ground yesterday. Play commenced shortly before 12 o'clock, the Collegiate boys going in first, making the good total of 122 -Hewitt 69, and Marshall 26, being the highest scores Feilding then went in, and were 85 for seven wickets when rain put a stop to the game, Lance and Hunter being top scores with 35 and 22. The Collegiate boys left by the 4 o'clock train for Palraerston, where they play a Palmerston team to-morrow. During the afternoon one of the Collegiate boys, named Harcourt, while running, slipped down and broke his wrist. He was attended by Dr Sorley. An exceptionally good lunch was provided on the ground by Mesdames Leithbridge, Monckton, Sorley, and Hill, which was much appreciated by both teams.
