Stock Markets.

Messrs Abraham and Williams report — On Saturday, on account of Messrs Amon and McKelvie, of Rangitikei, we offered a numher of unbroken horses, consisting of light horses, draughts and ponies. A large attendance was present and bidding ran briskly throughout. The light horses in many cases showed very nice quality. The draughts were not of a heavy build, hut serviceable active sorts suitable for fast work. The ponies established themselves as favourites and made brisk competition. On account of other vendors we sold a few animals of various descriptions that call for no special mention. Mr Anion's ponies made from £3 5s to £7 ; colts and fillies, £5 10s to £9 ; yearlings, £3 ; hacks, broken to saddle, £6 to £12 15s ; unbroken draughts, £6 15s to £10 15s. Mr McKelvie's draughts (unbroken), £8 5s to £11 ss. Other vendors sold draughts, subject to trial, from £11 5s to L2O ; hacks up to £8 ; and trap horses up to £10. Messrs Gorton and Son's stock report—We had good entries of stock at both Bulls and Campbelltown sales. The bidding for cattle was brisk at both sales and they sold well, but for sheep the bidding was dull. We managed to sell a few pens at Bulls but at Campbelltown we bad to turn them out unsold at whioh sale we had several pens of really good fat ewes for which there was no demand Our quotations are :— Cattle. Bulls— Fat bullocks, L7 ; fat cows, L 5 4s 6d ; forward bullocks, L5 8s to Ls lss ; store, L 3 17s ; 18- month mixed, L3 3s to L3 8s 6d ; yearlings mixed, L 2 12s 6d to L 2 18s ; springing heifers, L6 to L 4 14s. Campbelltown— Fat cows and heifers, L4 to L 4 158 ; store cows, L8 to L3 8s ; 2£.year steers, L 3 19s; weaners and yearlings mixed, 82s to 38sj^ weaners mixed 82s ; milkers, L6 to L7 4s 6d. Bulls —Woolly hoggets mixed, lis 9d ; fat ewes, 8s; fat sheep, 8s 3d; store wethers, 8s 6d ; woolly ewes with lambs, 13s.
