(FSB PBEB9 ASSOCIATION.) Donedin, December 15. It is understood ttiat the Uon J. G. Ward has decided to appoint Mr J. X, Logan to the position vacated by Dr Lemon, Wellington, December 15. Dr. Lemon, as consulting electrical engineer to the Telegraph Department, receives retainer of LIOO. At a meeting of the Hawke's Bay Flood Belief Fuud Committee it was an* nounccd that the sum of L 663 Is Gd had been collected and without a penny of expense. Auckland, December 15. A miner named Arnold was brought to the Auckland District Hospital from Kuaotuna suffering from terrible burns. He died from his injuries shortly after admission. It seems the man fell into a fire in his whare near Kuaotuna. Mr W. J. Napier's friends intend to present him with a testimonial -for the fight he made in the Liberal cause at the general election.
