The Wednesday Holiday Disturbance.
(PEB PRESS ASSOCIATION.} Wellington, December 12 The Magistrate's Court was occupied the whole of the afternoon hearing charges arising out of the demonstration made by shop assistants outside of Mr Carter's drapery shop on Wednesday evening, owing to Carter refusing to observe the half, holiday. His Worship held there was no evidence against Magune and Hooper, and discharged them. Watson, Jaokson, and Steele were each ( bound over in their own recognisances of £1 0 to appear for sentence when called upon, His Worship intimating that if either of the accused or their eociety committed any further breach of the peace in connection with the affair, defendants would be fined £5 on the present charge. Accused were ordered to pay costs. The youths Turner, Money, and Lambert were severely admonished and allowed to go.
