Dowling, of Opotiki, for £2OO, a verdict by consent of £2O damages was giyen for plaintiff and costs on the lowest scale. At the Wesleyan district meeting a resolution was carried that steps should be taken to effect the immediate repeal of the Alcoholic Liquor Act, and to bring into force the District Veto Bill proposed by Sir Robert Stoat. The total ram fall in Auckland for November was 7‘17 inches, the highest yet recorded for that month. Wellington, December 7. At the Police Court to-day, Patrick Regan was fined 20s for supplying liquor to a person. Eliza Sinclair wns fined AOs for supplying a prohibited person with drink, and tho man supplied was fined 40s or 7 days’ imprisonment.
