A feat at billiards of a remarkable and unprecedented nature was recently accomplished at tho Koyal Aquarium, London, by the well known player, W. J. Poall. During tho weok he had been playing a number of exhibition games with T, Taylor, and it was in the last of these that the incident occurred. Tho gamo was 600 up, spot in, and Poall, who had the first stroke commenced by screwing in to one of the top pockets off the red, and then putting the red down obtained position for spot stroke play, and though after making nine hazards he temporarily got out of the position, he quickly regained it, and continued to put the red ball into one or other of the top pockets until he had finished off the game. Although pre viously thore had been several instances in which players had won games without their opponent scoring, there was no re cord of a game having been plajed though from the first break.
