MR GLADSTONE and the HOUSE OF LOEDS. (PEB PBESS ASSOCIATION.) London, November 29. Mr Gladstone, in the course of a speech, snubbed the House of Lords for wuat he termed a dictonal proposal for a joint committee to enquire into the question of betterment. The House of Commons, he said, would not alter its decision. (Cheers). The Labour members in the House of Commons have submitted a Bill for the nationalisation" of mines and mineral in Great Britain on payment to owners of their present value.
