Messrs Gorton and Son report— The entries at our Feilding s&le last Friday were smaller than usual. We, howerer, sold everything excepting two or three head of cattle and a line of ewes in lamb, the reserre upon which was higher than s^ could obtain. Oar quotations Caw^s. —Forward cows, L 4 7s 6d ; mixed yearlings, L 2 15s j 18- months heifers, L 2 18s ; yearling to 18-months steers, L 3. Shekp.— Store wethers, 8s 9d; mixed shorn 2-tootb, 8s Id ; shorn ewes, 7» 6d.
