Produce Markets
The Manawatu Farmers' Co-operative Association report for the week ending November 24th:— Since onr last report there has been very little alteration in the price of produce. Old potatoes are now almost out of the market and the new crop coming to hand freely at Vary reasonable prices. Cape barley has been in pood demand at advanced rates. Grass seed— We have had large sales at old rates. Bacon and hams are being en* quired for, and are commanding better prices. Our quotations are— Wheat — Milling, 3s 4d to 8s 6d ; whole fowl, 8s 2d to 8s 4d ; broken, 8s to 8b 2d. Barley— Malting, 4s to 4s 8d ; fowl, 3s 6d to 3s 9d. Oats— Long Tartars (feed), 2s 8d to 2s lOd: Canadians, 2s 9d to 2e lid ; Folands, 2s lOd to Bs. Maize, 4s 6d to ss, very scarce. Potatoes— New, 14s to 158 cwt., locally grown. BaconDairy, 8d to Bid; factory, B£d to 9d. Hams — Dairy, B£d to 9d ; factory, 9d to 9id. Cheese— Dariy, 4d to 4£d ; factory, 4Ad to sd. Eggs, 8d to9d dozen. Butter — Dairj, 6d to 6Jd ; separator and factory, 6Jd to 7id. Skins— Good sound pelts, 2|d to 3Jd. Hides— Heavy sound, 2d to 2£d lb. Tallow, 14s 6d to 15s 6d cwt. Fungus, 2d to 2£d lb.
