He was accorded a vote of thanks, on the motion of Mr G. Shannon. Mr Steyens had good meetings at boih Pembertou and Cheltenham, on Tuesday and Thursday evenings respectively, and was accorded yotes of thanks and confi. dence. At the latter place a vote of thanks was proposed, but Mr Phynn moved one of confidence also, which was carried. TuiAßrr. November 23. The Pieraier had a great reception to* night at the Theatre Royal, which was crowded. A vote of thanks and confidence in the Government was carried by a great show of hands and cheers.
