The Coming Elections
Mr Leary will speak at Colyton on Saturday eveniug next in the school house at eight o'clock. The returning officer fur Rangitikei, Mr Alfred Ross, notifies that Messrs F. Y. Lethbndge and John Steyens have been duly nominated as candidates for election. The Manawatu Farmer says that the Hon Seddon will speak at Otaki before the election, in answer to Mr J. G. Wilson. Mr Pirani held meetings yesterday at Colyton. Awahuri, and Kairanga. At Awahuri he received a vote of thanks and confidence, and at the other places votes of thanks. M r Leary addressed a crowded meeting of electors in the Pahnerston Theatre Royal last evening. After a large number of questions had been answered, a hearty vote of thanks to the candidate was proposed and carried. Mr Snelson was accorded a vote of thanks for his address at Longburn last night. Mr Le tli bridge will address the electors in the schoolhouse at Upper Tutnenui this evening at 8 pin , and Mr Stevens will also speak this evening at Pemberton, in Mi* Belskies' cottage at 8 p.m. (PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.)
