NINE HUNDEED PEOPLE SLEEPm(i IN THE BTBEETS. [Per Press Association] Sidney, This Day. Much distress exists in the City, and is attracting public attention. Subscnp lion lists have been opened to obtain relief, and fully 900 men are said to bo sleeping in the streets of Sydney. The Goyernipent has arranged to defray the costs of beds in tbg " penny doss " bouses.
