THE PALMERSTON ELECTION. TO THE EDITOR OF THE 6TAR. Sir,— We hear a lot about tbe Rangi« tikei election in this district, but for some reason we, who are this time in the Palmerston electorate, do not know much about candidates for this district. Surely Palmerston is not so important that we bushwackers are not to be taken into consideration. Few Palmerston papers find their way into this district and if candidates do not let us know a little about themselves, and who they are, I don't see how they are to receive much support from bere. I have heard more than one farmer express himself as likely to stick to Rangitikei. Can you not stir the candidates up a bit and get them to publish their speeches in the Star. I am etc., Settler. Apili, November 7th, 1893. [Mr J. P. Leary's address to tha electors will be published in the Stab tomorrow. —Ed F S.j
