The Amencan Elections
(PER PBKBB ASSOCIATION.) Washington, November 9. With the assistance of the Independent Democrats, the Republicans haye achieved remarkable success in the State elections, though iv many cases tho issues were not of a national character. The Bepubhcans also met with great success in Massachusetts, Pennjlyania, New Jersey, and lowa. The Democrats carried Kentucky, Virginia, and Maryland.
