♦ ■ — THE CITY BEING BOMBARDED (F£B FBKBS ASSOCIATION). Nkw Yobk, November 8. The Fort at Amapala, on the west coast of Honduras, shelled an American mail steamer, whose captain refused to surrender to Boyilla, leader of the conspiracy against the Government. The vessel escaped uninjured. November 9. News has been received that a tre* mendous bombardment of Rio da Janeiro is going on, and it is believed that Admiral Hello is striking a final blow before the arrival of the fleet of warships purchased here by President Peixotto.
