(per pbess association.) Auckland, November 6. The Eight Hours' Demonstration in the Domain was well attended. Sir George Grey delivered an appropriate address. Sir Maurice O'Rourke, Government supporter, received a vote of thanks and confidence at Parnell. Dunedin, November 9. The holiday was spoilt by rain. The cricket match and Taieri races had to be postponed. This Day. The weather to* day is simply perfect. The Clutha river rose ao rapidly last night that a flood was feared, but the waters are now abating. There was a heavy fall of snow at Balclutha last night. ' ' Chbistchubch, N ovember 9. The annual show was a great success although rain fell during the afternoon. The number of exhibits were 300 in excess of last year.
