The Manawatu and West Coast A. and P. Show.

The annual show of the Manawatu and West Coast A. and P. Association, which opens to-day, is the one great fixture looked forward to for months by the town and country people in this and the adjoining districts, and this year's gathering, in the event of fine weather prevailing, will certainly be the best on record. The entries are more numorous, and the arrangements, before of an excellent character, may now be said to be almost perfect. Provision has been made for keeping from the crowd the stallions and horses on exhibition — a Bource of danger to visitors which in previous yeara was somewhat noticeable, but which could hardly be avoided. The ground will be a picture to-morrow, when, besides the exhibits of horses, cattle, sheep, implements, &c., there should be an attendance of about 12,000 people.
