New Zealand Gup, of 1000 soys ; two miles. Rosefeldt (Lindsay) 1 IchDien 2 Liberator 3 Prime Warden, Hippomenes, Dilemma, The Workman, Thame, Melinite, Be* sponse, Beadonwel), and Ua also started. During the race Beadonwell fell. Rosefeldt was first into the straight, and drawing out won by two lengths, Liberator a length away third. The time, 3min 29sec, is the fatest on record for the race, Dividends, £19 12s and £23 12s. Welter Handicap — Hauroa 1, Melusina 2, Inez 3. Nineteen starters. Dividends, £9 14s and £16 4s. Welcome Stakes — Philson 1, Pompom 2, Strathburn 3, Dividends, £23 12s and £18 18s. Ladies' Purse — Oajollery 1, Exile 2, New Headford 3. Dividends, L 3 11s and L 4 19s. Stewards' Handicap— Au Bevoir 1, Warrington 2, Rebellion 3. Dividends, L 9 12s and Lll Bs.
