Melbourne, November 5. There was some heavy wagering last night over the Melbourne Cup. Tim Swiveller was a nominal favourite at 100 to 12 ; 1000 to 100 was taken about Loyalty, and 2000 to 180 Carnage ; 5000 to 000 wos taken about Sainfoin, 2000 to 100 Oxide, and 5000 to 100 Pounamu. Oxide and Carnage were esereised this morning Carnage looked all the better for his Derby gallop.
