Manawatu and West Coast A. and P. Show
The total number of entries received for the Manawatu and West Coast A and P. Association 'B annual show is 1042. As further entries may be made up till this evening on payment of double fees, it ia probable that even this large total will be increased. Following is a comparative list for the last three years : —
In the three principal departments — sheep, cattle and horses — there is a marked increase in the number of en tries, while the outside exhibitors are more numerous than last year, and include such well-known breeders of sheep as Messrs E. Menlove and H. Holmes. We regret to know that Mr H, Bovan, of Manukau, who in former years was a large and successful exhibitor of Romney Marsh sheep, is unable tbis year to bring forward his excellent exhibits owing to a Enrotracted illness, which has prevented lis preparing the sheep for show purposes. — Standard.
