Maize, firm at 3s 6d ; barley, Cape, 3s ; bran. 8d ; pollard, S_d, Potatoes— Local, L 5 to L 5 17s 6d ; New Zealand, L 6 Onions, Vie torian, firmer at L 9 19s. Butter— Dairy, Sd to 7d ; factory, prime. Bd. Cheese, prime, 4d to 4|d ; bacon, od to 6gd. Melbocbne, November 1. Wheat, prime, 2s lO^d ; flour, roller, L 7 ss. Oats— Algerian, Is Ud ; Tartarian, 2s; stout whites, 2s Id. Maize, 2s lOd ; barley,. Cape, 2s 3d ; bran, 6jd. Potatoes are easier— L7 10s to LB. Onions haye advanced to L 9, owing to large shipments to Sydney. At the wool sales yesterdiy there was a good attendance and spirited competition. Greasy cross-breds sold up to 8 3 d.
