We remind our readers at Sandon that a meeting of Mr Donald Fruser's sup porters will be held in the Town Hall there to-night. A similar meeting will be held in the Temperance Hall Camp, belltown to-morrow night. [Per Press Association] Wellington, Noyember 1. Thursday, December 7th, is now spoken of as tlie probable date of the election. Only four candidates have spoken here so far, but next week the election fight will be in full swing Auckland, November 1. Mr Kapa, the sitting member for the North Maori District, will haye to contest his seat at the approaching election with Aperihama Poata (Porter), a young chief oi the Ngatiwhatea tribe. Woodville, This Day. As a result of bis meetings at Woodville and Dane? irke on the Smith-Cad-man native land taansactions, Mr W. Carlisle has again determined to contest the Waipawa seat.
