The Palmer-Beaumont Company

The Sydney Morning Herald, in notice, ing a concert given in the Town Hall by the Palmer-Beaumont Company says : — ' The entertainment was unquestionably the most successful that has ever been given m the building. This is scarcely surprising, as the combination is perfect in every respect. In reviewing the items there is some difficulty in selecting any one for special mention, as each effort was so superbly sustained that it conveyed a charm distinct, subtle, and powerful. From the opening till the conclusion the audience were held in a state of ecstaoy , and overwhelming encores were demacded until the hour grew so late that even the assemblage consentedto spare the artists. Each effort may be set down as a brilliant success. Mrs Palmer proves that she retains all her artistic charms, theitrtroduction to the ' Ernam Cavatina ' being a beautiful piece of refined vocalisation. Mr Armes Beaumont, whose voice is in one respect * like the flower that bloometh,' sang Beethoven's fine air ' An evening song.' with all his old correctness of method and artistic finish and power, while the efforts of other members of the company made it superfluous to attempt criticism.'
