Gipsy Encampment at Palmerston

A very novel and new kind of entertainment is to take place in the Theatre Royal, Palmerston, daring Show week, which is unique in its way. The Hon. Patrick Brady is to give one of hit best electioneering epeeohes, Mr Edison, of Orange, will speak kind words by his own living voice and sent to the Rev. Father Patterson for the talking machine ; Messrs Snazelle and Jade will sing ; the bands of 150 performors will execute through the machine classical linusic. It is expected that the Hou Sir Patrick Buckley will open the Gipsy Encampment on Monday next. The articles are more numerous than at any previous Fair ever held in Palmerston. Amusements will be numerous and attractive. Another feature of the attractions at the Encampment will be the stable at Bethlehem, represented by lovely and richly decorated statues executed in terracotta, and just arrived from Lyons, in France. This .sight alone is well worth the price of admission — Is and children 6d. The voting ladies of the parish have been working hard and industriously for months pa&t in order to please their hieiuls that they may purchase very useful, ornamental, and artistic, articles for (heir homes. Father Patterson has douo all in his power to please his patrons who will help him by combining investments with charity, and assisting him to clear off the debt upon the convent and grounds, during show week.
