(Conclusion of Report). Mr Welch waited upon the Board to ascertain whether he could select 200 acres in the Xaitangata Block without having to fulfil the residence conditions, but the Board declined to sire an answer until the land was surreyed. Mr S. Nestor's application to dirert the thirds from the WoodvilJe^Aohanga road to a private road leading to his property was not entertained. An application from Mr R. Mackay, Makuri, to dirert third?, was referred to the Pabiatua County Council. The Board declined to sanction Mr McGregor's proposal to divert thirds to a road on the Ohingaiti side of the Rsngi* tikei river, as it would be unfair to Pembf rton settlers. - The Chief Commissioner submitted the amount of thirds paid to roud boards for ench road for the year rndinj; April 1, 1803, aud it was decided that copies could be obtained by the several local papers on application. The Pahiatua county alone had received I's2'JO. Mr J. Anderson's application for transfer on section 29, Block XIV, Tararua, was deferred until the necessary improvements were effected. Mr M. Scanlon (Foxton) was allowed six months extra to effect improvements on section 20, Block VIII, Makuri. Mr J. T. Ray wrote on behalf of the selector. Mr Jenkins' application for title for section 21, Block XIV, Apiti, was granted after bis explanation as to occupation had been considered. Mr A. W. Hogg, M.H.B, was granted leave of absence from the meeting. The re-valuation of Miss Mossman's sections near Pahiatua was considered, the Commissioner stating that the pre» sent selling value was about L9 an acre, L3 of which was the value of improve* ments, while the county rating value is L 6 16s per acre. It was decided to sup* ply the result to the Applicant. A title was granted to Messrs Coe and Balfour for sections 34, 35. 39, Block X, Ocgo. A transfer was granted to Mrs A. R. Cox from A. B, Cox for section 38, Block XI, Onfjo. Mr Piraoi brought up the question of compelling Mr J. Miller to put double improvement cd section 13, Block VII, Apiti, for the period of non-residenco of the previous owner, and it was decided to allow single improvements to count for the term in question.
