Masterton A. and P. Show
(PKU PRESS ASSOCIATION). Wellington, October 26. The Masterton annual A. and P show, which was held today, compared unfavourably with the gatherings of previous years. There was considerable falling off in nearly all departments, the decrease being particularly noticeable in stock and produce. Only eight breeders were represented in cattle, but the display of sheep was a creditable one. The implement section was the feature of the show, all the well-known Southern firms being represented. Championships were granted as follows : — Cattle — Ayrshires, A. Elkins ; shorthorns, C. F. Vallance ; Herefords, J. Buckeridge ; fat bullock, F. Gray. Egalite was the champion sire, and Perry Bros, carried off the championship in Lincolns.
