Nblson, This Day, Robert Levein, merchant, a resident of 27 years, died early this morning aged 58. He was universally esteemed The preliminary inquiry into the grounding of the steamer Grafton on the 14th when leaving Nelson for Wellington has been held, the evidence showed there was no blame attachable to anyone, the vessel being caught suddenly by a rush of the tide. Invercargill, October 24. This afternoon Mrs and Miss Liddell, of Winton, with two young children, went for a drive, but had not got clear of the township when the horse bolted and capsized the trap. Mrs Liddell's leg and arm were broken, and Miss Liddell broke n bone of her ankle. The children were not hurt. __^______
