Continental is dull and American is depressed. The cargc ot wheat per Carnarvon Castle from Timaru has been sold at 26s 3d. Three months bills are discounted al 13 per cent. Mutton, first quality, 3;} d; second quality, 3 716 d; lamb, first quality, The hemp market is depressed, and no New Zealand shipments were offered this week. The New Zealand JLand Association hare received the following London cablegram, dated October 21st :— Frozen meats — Quotations unchanged since last telegram. Tallow- There is a rather better demand, and the market is easier. New Zealand fine mutton aud good beel tallow are worth 29s 3d and 28s per cwt respectively.
