S.Barnett, of Wellington, ws the chief speaker on the subject < missions. Mr Broadbelt presided, an the Bey. G Clement gave Xhe usual re port for the year. He also 'stated tin the contract had been let for the erectio of a Primitive Methodist Church t Colyton. The Bey. S.Barnett then df hvered an elaborate address, dealin with the chief missionary work now bein carried on the world. He also spoke < the growth of the Primitive Methodic Church generally. The address throngl out was very interesting, and attentive! listened to by his hearers. Mr T. Bn gave a short address on the organisatio of the Primitive Methodist Church a Campbelltown, he being one of th originators. He spoke very entbusiasticallj Mr Glover then proposed *vote of thanks which was seconded by Mr Arnotd am carried. The subscription cards wer called in, and a collection taken in aid o mission work, amounting in all to £3 6s which was very satisfactory. A closinj hymn was sung, and the Benedictioi pronounced, which brought the ineetini to a close. m wm |
